About Darlee Ann
Darlee Ann Mathieson, both a Registered Massage and Sports Massage Therapist, has developed and implemented multiple injury rehabilitation and treatment programs for sports teams and individual athletes. A Graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy with twelve years of experience in the field, she understands that each person is unique, which requires her programs to be flexible and adaptable.
She strives in having an excellent working relationship with other related health professionals. Among them, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors and psychologists. Darlee Ann's strong belief in professional growth and development has helped in her success as a massage therapist.
Darlee Ann is experienced in neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release therapy, trigger point therapy, deep tissue and sports massage. She also has insurance and Workers' Compensation Board experience.

Clinical Experience
CHIROPRACTIC
While the Doctors of Chiropractic restore skeletal movement patterns allowing the muscles to return to a normal state; therapeutic massage is introduced into the treatment protocol at the correct time, increases the rate of change and relaxation of the muscles, thereby supporting these changes to the skeletal and nervous systems. On-going team communication is reinforced as to best facilitate patient recovery and progress. Darlee Ann has been a part of the clinical staff at two separate chiropractic clinics.
PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC
Working in conjunction with the physical therapy team, thorough clinical assessments of each client were performed. Based on the presenting condition(s), therapeutic or relaxation treatment interventions were designed in combination with on-going evaluations. Clients included: motor-vehicle, Workmen's Compensation and private insurers presenting a variety of medical conditions.
WORKERS' COMPENSATION
Millard Health is a progressive health care management organization providing their customers Rehabilitation, Disability Management and Network Management Services. Darlee Ann was a part of their health care team for three years. Her responsibilities included interviewing, assessing and successfully treating individuals with complex medical conditions over extended periods of time, where pain or psychosocial issues were serious barriers to rehabilitation. Some areas of treatment included: Chronic Pain, Head Trauma, Fibromyalgia, Stress Management and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
SPORT & FITNESS
High-performance athletic training centre providing sport specific, pre and post event sports massage, for physically active individuals, and amateur and elite professional athletes.
In coordination with athletic trainers, individualized treatment programs were developed using various application and techniques specifically suited to each individual's sport/athletic setting. The focuses of the treatment programs were increase output, higher performance and shortened and enhanced recovery.
